CPN-UML Bhaktapur Constituent Assembly member candidate Mahesh Basnet has claimed that he will win with three times more votes than the opposition. While interacting with local journalists, he claimed that last time he won with double votes, this time he will win with three times more votes.
He said that the Sata alliance will not affect him. ‘The coalition is only between the leaders. There is no alliance between workers. We are meeting the same workers and they are positive towards us,’ he said.
He alleged that he had brought a wave of development in Bhaktapur area no. 2 but the Congress stopped it. He claimed that this is the reason why his votes will increase. He also said that if he wins, he will develop Bhaktapur as a corruption-free district. He said that the whole of Bhaktapur will be made a corruption-free district so that while working in Bhaktapur, one does not have to pay a single bribe.
