Two and a half months after the assassination of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, the funeral is being held with state honors today (Tuesday). Heads of state of 20 countries and representatives of more than 100 countries will participate in Abe’s funeral, which will be held according to tradition. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also arrived in Japan to participate in the same funeral. Abe’s funeral will also be broadcast live.

Arrangements have been made for thousands of Japanese citizens to attend Abe’s funeral. On July 8th, a person shot and killed Abe during an election meeting in the western city of Nara, Japan.
