Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping met in Uzbekistan. The two heads of state discussed ending the Russia-Ukraine war and expanding mutual relations. According to the international media, there was a sideline conversation between Putin and Xi at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization conference held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
After the Ukraine attack, Russia’s relationship with the West and China’s latest military activities in Taiwan were discussed.
President Putin also praised China's balanced behavior in the Ukraine war. Similarly, Chinese President Xi said that China is willing to work with Russia to demonstrate the responsibility of major powers and play a leading role in creating stability and positive energy in the world.
