Police have arrested five people from Kathmandu for producing and selling fake liquor.
Dineshraj Mainali, Superintendent of Police of Kathmandu District Police Complex, Kathmandu, informed that five people have been arrested on the charge of producing and selling fake liquor.
Those arrested are Bhagwan Basnet of Bhimeshwar Municipality-8, 24-year-old Hari Wali of Kalinchok Rural Municipality of Dolakha, Vishal Wali of Sohi, Manoj Khatri and Gopi Shrestha of Khanda Devi of Ramechhap.
The police arrested them and released them to the public on Friday.
The police received special information that they were producing fake liquor under different brand names. After the information, District Police Complex Kathmandu raided two factories in Koteshwar and Duwakot.
According to Superintendent of Police Mainali, the police raided two factories operating at Hari Wali’s Dera in Koteshwar and Changunarayan-2 in Duwakot.
Superintendent of Police Mainali seized Black Label, Red Label, Double Black, Jai from Wali’s camp and factory.
